Collin County Area Agency on Aging
The Collin County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is the single most important starting point for navigating senior services in the county.
Authorized under the Older Americans Act, the AAA coordinates programs including Meals on Wheels, transportation assistance, caregiver support, in-home services, legal aid, and benefits counseling for adults age 60 and older.
Services are provided at no cost or on a sliding scale based on income. No one is turned away for inability to pay. The AAA connects seniors to both county-funded programs and state and federally funded resources they may not know they qualify for.
Contact the Collin County Area Agency on Aging at (972) 548-4938 or visit collincountytx.gov/health_care_services for the full current program directory.
Meals on Wheels Collin County
Meals on Wheels Collin County delivers hot and frozen meals directly to the homes of homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. The service operates countywide including Plano, McKinney, Frisco, Allen, Wylie, Celina, and Prosper. Volunteer drivers also conduct wellness checks during each delivery.
A suggested donation is requested, but no senior is denied service for inability to pay. Families and caregivers can request enrollment on behalf of a loved one.
